Believe The Hype: Gervonta Davis TKO’s Liam Walsh In The 3RD Round!

20 May

Young Baltimore, M.D. native Gervonta Davis just silenced his critics by pulling off an impressive TKO on former undefeated Liam Walsh. We had this fight going at least 7-rounds beings though Walsh had his hometown behind him, but he was no match for who like I’d to call the new “Young Kid Dynamite”. Gervonta remains undefeated with a record of 18 wins, 0-losses, and 17-knockouts.

Pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd “Money” Mayweather echoed kind of what we were thinking as far as the fight going the distance, but at the end of the 2nd round, Mayweather mentioned with a lot of confidence “My Fighter Will Knock Him Out”.

Also, Mayweather promotions plan to get this kid back in the ring within six months. Laim Walsh’s corner believes the fight was stopped prematurely and he could’ve gone for more, but that’s not what we saw in the third round.

Laim Walsh’s legs went missing after the second knock down, and he gave the ref no indication that he could continue fighting. What an impressive win for the IBF super-featherweight champion whose only 22-years old and already making a name for himself. Check out the stoppage below.
