Nicki Minaj get’s gudda on her latest single “Yikes” in which is the first offering from Nicki in 2020. Back in September of 2019, Nicki took to social media to announce that she’ll be retiring from the music industry to make a family with longtime Boyfriend. “I’ve decided to retire and have my family. I know you guys are happy now”.
She since deleted her retirement tweet and addressed surprised fans who were not at all cool with the unexpected news. “When I posted that retirement tweet, I knew that I still had music that I already had recorded that was still going to come out” she told the Shade Room. “So the retirement was kind of talking about my album, meaning like, ‘Do I want to go back and record my fifth album? Where do I stand with it now?’”
Nicki Minaj has had her fair share of wins, controversy, setbacks, get-ups and more. When the 37-Year New York native first entered the game she was determined to set her mark in Hip Hop History. A woman with a plan is like a freight train going full speed ahead and there is no stopping her. Nicki showed the world what believing in yourself /putting in the hard work can inherit you.
