Dreamchasers CEO Meek Mill stopped by Power FM 99 to discuss his newly released album Wins And Loses which is available for purchase on streaming outlets now. The 30-year old Philly rapper explained that his album is not based on taking internet L’s but more so of losing close homies, losing his case and doing time among other things.
Meek Mill On Internet Trolls: Social media has got the best of Meek Mill in his mid-20’s but a 30-year old Meek Mill shuns that kind of behavior beings though he’s in a position a lot of rappers from his neck of the woods would kill for.
Meek Mill spoke on how harsh the internet could be when it comes down to sensitive topics such as: “Posting a picture of your grandmother” only for her to be called ugly, Or, “Posting a picture of Biggie” for someone to say “He Should’ve Died”. Basically Meek narrowed it down to social media being out of control.
Meek Mill On Bloggers Writing About A Culture They Know Nothing About: Meek feels there should be bloggers that come from the culture instead of culture vultures capitalizing off Hip Hop’s urban real-life experiences. Does he have a point?
Meek Mill On Drug Abuse And How It Affected Him And His Community: As far back as we can remember, Hip Hop always found a way to glorify drugs in rhymes and Meek Mill was one of those rappers who endorsed it. However, in this interview Meek said popping pills and drinking lean altered a lot of his thinking and he had to let that stuff go. He further added that “escaping reality/ getting high every day is for suckers”
We’d have to agree with him on that from this logic: Once anything you like to do becomes an everyday habit, you’re no longer in control. The habit becomes stronger than your will and thus you become a “Whatever Head”. Having control over whatever habit you’re into is when you can go everyday without that substance and say to it “I’ll indulge when I’m ready”. Meek touched several other topics during this interview and we’d like for you to check it out below. Thanks for reading.
I want y’all to hear every part of my album in @TIDALHiFi quality. #WinsandLosses is now available for EVERYONE on https://t.co/yMRUAJmgqr
