West coast rapper B.G. Knocc Out is best known for his killer verse on Eazy E’s “Real Compton City G’s”, and he gave Vlad TV details on how it all happened. We were wondering whatever happened to him since way back when, beings though his rhymes were hard. There is no telling what B.G. could’ve been had Eazy-E never passed away. Here’s some of what he explained below.
“Well basically I had a reputation in the neighborhood like the local L.A. area for rapping. My brother was in California Youth Authority (Dretsa the Gangsta) he was in Youth Authority and his reputation kind of spreaded through out Youth Authority. Usually what happens is like people who from L.A. Come up gang-banging you going to end up in Juvenile hall, you’re going to end up in camp or Y.A.”
“So all the people who ended up in these situations who were getting out before my brother they were just telling people like “Man your brother, he hard”. In Certain places in Y.A. They have studios, they have places for them to record and then they actually let them perform. So people would get out spreading the word. So one guy had got out, and his uncle happens to be Eazy’s old running buddies, you know? From the streets before N.W.A and all the music stuff.”
“And I think they kind of wanted to get into the music so one day they pulled up to our street and was like “We heard Y’all be rapping” We was like “yeah we get down” and they was like “Well Let us hear something”. We rapped for them and so they were like “Well tomorrow we going to the studio”. They didn’t tell us with who or whatever.”
“So the next day I happen to not be there and my brother was there. My brother came home later that night and was like “I was in the studio with Eazy” I’m like “YEAH”? He was like “Yup”. He had songs written that they already did and everything, so I was like “WOW” He was like “We going tomorrow, so you better be around” So the next day I went, they was doing “Real Compton City G’s”..
