There’s been plenty of talks of Young Money CEO LiL Wayne signing with Jay Z’s Roc Nation group, but during a recent tour stop Dewayne Micheal Carter threw up the Roc sign and proclaimed to be a part of the team. This comes on the heels of Rapper Rick Ross blasting Birdman for unfair business practices over the years. It’s well documented the Louisiana rapper filed a $51 Million dollar lawsuit against Cashmoney.
Back in 2015, LiL Wayne made a move with Jay Z’s Tidal streaming company releasing the “Free Weezy” album exclusively on that platform. The move to sign with Jay Z dates back to Wayne’s “Dedication” mixtape days in which he told millions that himself and Jay talked about a deal but it never fell through.
Usually when there’s a Roc Nation signing you’d see Hov and that artist taking a flick for the gram, but Wayne made it official on stage. Check it out below, and let us know what you think.
