Armando Ramirez was a school bus driver who left 19-year-old Paul Lee dead in the back his bus due to heat exhaustion. Paul Lee suffered from autism and he couldn’t speak to alarm anyone he was left behind which is something school officials would have to fix for kids with special needs. Sources didn’t say what Armando was being charged with but clearly that’s homicide-negligence.
Ramirez made a plea deal with prosecutors in which he’ll spend 2-years in the county for failure to save a life. His state below.
“I wish I could somehow remove their suffering, and yet there is nothing I can do or say right now that could return Paul to them, and I know that,” Ramirez said to the court on Monday as he held back tears.
